City of Hickman - City Hall Building

Welcome to the City of Hickman, Kentucky-county seat for Fulton County. The City of Hickman was established in 1834. Hickman, KY is located in the most western part of Kentucky on the Mississippi River. The Hickman, KY-Dorena, MO Ferry is the last remaining ferry on the Mississippi River and one of the last in the U.S. The ferry located at mile marker 922 from New Orleans, LA and way between Memphis, TN and St. Louis, MO.

Nestled under and atop the bluffs overlooking the great Mississippi River, Hickman has the charm and beauty of the South, but most of all Hickman is a river town filled with genuine flavor of Mark Twain's "Mighty Mississippi". In fact, Twain once called Hickman, "The Most Beautiful Town On The Mississippi."
